Home About Us

The South Niagara Rowing Club is located on the Old Welland Canal on Colborne Street in the old Dain City which is now part of the City of Welland.

We are fortunate to have access to two rowing courses provided by the Welland Recreational Canal Comission and part of the Welland International Flatwater Centre (WIFC).

Our south course provides us with 2000M of straight unobstructed water. There is approximately 4000M of water from the boathouse to the starting line to provide crews the opportunity to warm-up prior to a race. The course is home to not only our South Niagara High School Regatta but the ROWONTARIO Provincial Championships for 2009.

The North Course of the WIFC provides us with the launch site and finish area for our annual Five Bridges Fall Classic Head Race and also will be where the ROWONTARIO Masters are held this year. The course covers a total of 4800M of waterway passing through the City Centre and finishing at the finish tower of the north course.
