The 2011 Head of the Welland ~ Five Bridges Fall Classic
This year's Head of the Welland was bigger than ever.
Thirty-three clubs from 20 cities in Canada and the United States came to race. Three-hundred-and-twenty-nine crews rowed for gold in 47 events.
The sun shone, the winds were calm, the air was warm. It was a great day for racing!
And it was a day of great racing!
Congratulations to those crews that won medals in their events and to all competitors! We'll announce our Head of the Welland Overall winners shortly.
And a very big thank you to our umpires and all our regatta volunteers that made the Head of the Welland possible and worked throughout the regatta to ensure that we enjoyed a safe, fair and fun day of racing.
