Train to Train – Session 1 - Cost $225 + $86 RCA/RO fees = $311

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Starting Tuesday, May 10th and finishing Saturday, July 9th .  Saturday or Sunday practices depending on course availability.

Two entries into CORA Guelph (June 25th), CORA London (July 2nd) and CORA Championships in St. Catharines (July 9th )

Train to Train – Session 2 – Cost $150 + 16 RCA/RO fees (if not previously paid) = $166

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. – Starting Monday, July 11th and finishing on Friday, August 19th with the week of August 1st off. Mini regatta to be held on last day.   Moved to Summer Competitive program on recommendation of coach.  Athlete would pay entry fee into RowOntario Championship.

Our Train to Train programs introduce novices to competitive rowing. Focusing mainly on technique, new rowers train in various crew boats, both sweeping and sculling, while at the same time improving their physical conditioning.

Rowing two to three times per week and racing at various competitions, participants will be exposed to competitive rowing with the South Niagara Rowing Club. 

   
Train to Compete – $275 + applicable RCA/RO fees
Starts mid-June until mid-August.

Two entries into CORA Guelph (June 25th), CORA London (July 2nd) and CORA Championships in St. Catharines (July 9th ), ROWONTARIO Championships, Welland (July 23rd and 24th).

Competitive Rowing

Offered for committed athletes, the various competitive programs provide training and conditioning in preparation for competition. Athletes progress through age categories and skill levels in both sculling and sweeping events in crews of two, four and eight rowers. These programs demand dedication-daily on water training, frequent travel to out of town regattas and year round training activity.
 
Masters
Cost - $425 + $86 RCA/RO = $511

Starts May 1st.

Two entries into Tony Biernacki Sr. Memorial  (June 18th), CORA Guelph (June 25th), CORA London (July 2nd) and CORA Championships in St. Catharines (July 9th ) and ROWONTARIO Masters, Welland (July 10th).

Offered for adults who want to pursue the competitive side of rowing.  Depending on the number of participants, crews may train in various sized boats both sweeping and sculling.
Train to Train, Train to Compete and Masters

• Coaching as arranged by the program.
• Summer competitors will be training for 2000 m competitions
• Masters competitors will be training for 1000 m competitions
• Skill level will determine boat assignment. Boat assignments and scheduling will be determined by the club.
• Fees include the trailering of boats to regattas.
• Entries to the U.S. Club Nationals in Indianapolis or the Royal Canadian Henley, St. Catharines, or any other regatta where only specific crews may qualify are not included.
Athlete qualification for some regattas will be determined by the VP Rowing or designate and coaches near the start of the appropriate program (i.e. summer or fall). Specific crews will be assembled in order to allow for sufficient practice time leading up to each regatta.
