Youth Summer Camp (ages 11 - 14)
Cost = $300 + $16 RCA/RO fee
Monday to Friday, July 4th to July 29th - 9:00a.m. til 12:00 noon
Designed to encourage future competitive rowing interest, this program is offered to youths born before 1999. Stressing safety, fun and team work, the 9:00 am to 12:00 pm session will give participants a strong grasp of both sculling (two oars) and sweep (one oar) rowing. Club coaches will provide instruction in the basic rowing stroke, on water safety, boat handling and proper rowing technique. Participants will experience both large and small boats. It's a great way for youth to try one of the region's most popular sports.
Approximately 60 hours of instruction subject to weather.
Alternate activities will be arranged if prohibitive weather arises.
